Years ago I entered a cookie into a blind competition. No name on it. No story. Just the cookie, on a plate, next to more than two hundred others. The judges never knew who baked it.
They picked it anyway. It came back with a blue ribbon and nothing else. The cookie made the case on its own. I've baked to that standard since.
