Refund policy

Verdict Goods LLC sells fresh, perishable baked goods for local pickup in Chicago. We do not ship or deliver. Every box is baked to order against a fixed count, so this policy is narrow and it is stated in full here.

Perishable goods, no returns

Cookies are perishable food. They cannot be returned or exchanged once handed over. There is no return window.

Cancellations before the drop closes

You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before the drop closes. The order cutoff is stated on the drop page and in your order confirmation. Email hello@verdictgoods.com with your order number. Once the drop closes, ingredients are committed to your box and orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Pickup is required during your scheduled window

Orders are handed over in person at the stated location during the pickup window you select at checkout. Your pickup date, time, and address appear in your order confirmation and again in a reminder before pickup day.

Orders not collected during that window are forfeited. They are not refunded, credited, rescheduled, or held. We cannot store perishable product past pickup day.

If something is wrong with your order

If your order is incorrect, damaged, or does not meet our quality standard, contact hello@verdictgoods.com within 48 hours of pickup with your order number and a photo. We will replace the item on the next drop or refund it, whichever you prefer. Any suspected food safety concern is refunded immediately, and we ask that you keep the product.

Allergens

Our cookies are baked in a licensed shared commercial kitchen that also handles peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, eggs, and soy. Allergens for each cookie are listed on its product page and on its label. We cannot refund an order because of a listed allergen, so please read them before ordering.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.
